Health insurance!!

As of tomorrow, I’m officially insured!! I haven’t had health insurance since I was 23, when I was in college and on my mom’s.

I’m excited… but have no intention of actually going to the doctor until I have to. Oh, and Xanax. I wants me some Xanax.

The awkward moment when…

I post this on Facebook

Having children is a responsibility, not a right. Just because you are capable of producing children doesn’t mean you should, especially if you cannot support them emotionally, financially, etc. for the duration.

…and every ‘welfare mom’ I know likes the status.

I’m not saying it’s wrong to need a little help. Everybody does sometimes. I’m saying stop having fucking babies that you know you cannot afford because, frankly, I cannot afford them either but the government makes me pay for them.

The extent of my nerdom

After eating pizza and watching Zero Dark Thirty (an excellent film, by the way), I decided to keep on working my way through entering my personal library into the database software I downloaded.

[Potentially course language ahead]

What I find so telling about America and is this: Whatever your orientation, if your position is that all people should be married, they say, “Those fags and fag lovers are an abomination.” And if you’re a woman and you demand to have the right to govern your own body, they say, “Those sluts should know their place.” But when people start crying about their right to bear arms and the constitution, they say, “They’re patriots.” But the problem with America isn’t that they want to take your guns away. The problem is that people don’t care about the rights of many, just the rights of some. We’ve learned nothing from our history and instead of being better than what we were, we settle for being like those who burned people at the stake.
